"Our community needs leaders who will put our residents first, not their own political and personal agendas. I believe everyone, regardless of political affiliation or personal background, deserves leaders who will be responsive first and foremost to them. As your legislator, I promise to always put our residents first and not special interests.”
First-generation leader, proud mom, and tireless advocate for our families and schools.
Cynthia Nunez is a first-generation Dominican and Puerto Rican American, proud wife to Kendall Sr., and mother of Sarah and Kendall Jr. When she saw her son losing access to programs her daughter once had, she ran for the Valley Stream District 24 School Board, where she championed initiatives like the Community Eligibility Program to provide free meals for all students. As Chair of the Legislative Committee, she works across party lines to strengthen education, uplift families, and ensure every voice in her community is heard.
